The North America Alumni Association of Hunan Agricultural University (NAHAU) was officially established on May 30, 2004, it consists of the alumni or the former staff from the Hunan Agricultural University, China, who currently live in the North America. Currently there are more than 150 registered members in NAHAU. On December 02, 2004, NAHAU was officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization in Missouri. On October 22, 2008, NAHAU was granted Federal Income Tax Exemption Status [IRS 501 (c) (3)]. The effective date of exemption is December 02, 2004.

The goals of NAHAU: to promote the communication among its members, enhance the connection between the alumni and Hunan Agricultural University, provide various opportunities for information exchange and cooperation among members and their families, sponsor and cosponsor various cultural and professional activities to contribute and feedback to the local communities.

The funding of the association will be mainly from the voluntary donation of the members and the friends. All donations to NAHAU are federal income tax deductible. There is no membership fee due as a member of the association. We sincerely welcome all HAU alumni and former staff, who live in the North America, to join the association and contact us actively and regularly. Your help in developing our communication channels and network coverage would be highly needed and appreciated. You are encouraged to participate in our regular activities, and volunteer to service in the committee board. Please register membership online, or send us your name, graduate year and department, post and Email address, phone number, as well as any other useful information. We will keep our membership database updated as soon as we receive your information. We will also send you notices of further activities.

The president of NAHAU is the representative of the association, who is responsible for coordinating and communicating with other organizations or societies. Under the president, there are several vice presidents and executive committee members who help with the regular association business and activities. Enthusiastic members take turns to serve as president, vice presidents and executive committee members. The duration of each term is two years.
