The North America Alumni Association of Hunan Agricultural University (NAHAU) was officially established on May 30, 2004, it consists of the alumni or the former staff from the Hunan Agricultural University, China, who currently live in the North America. Currently there are more than 150 registered members in NAHAU. On December 02, 2004, NAHAU was officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization in Missouri. On October 22, 2008, NAHAU was granted Federal Income Tax Exemption Status [IRS 501 (c) (3)]. The effective date of exemption is December 02, 2004.
湖南农业大学北美校友会(NAHAU) 正式成立于2004年5月30日。其成员由现居住在北美地区的湖南农业大学校友及原教职工组成。目前有约150名登记会员。2004年12月2日经密苏里州政府批准为合法非盈利社团, 2008年10月22日荣获美国国税局不牟利免税社团待遇[IRS 501(c)(3)]. 免税社团待遇生效期追溯至2004年12月2日。
校友会成立的目的是增进校友间的感情,加强校友与母校间的联系。举办各项活动，以提供校友及其家属们各种交流及合作的机会，并参与协办各项地区性的专业与联谊活动，以提升校友们对社区的回馈与贡献。
校友会作为一非政治性、非盈利组织，其经费由会员及会友自动捐献。捐款/物可获得联邦个人收入免税待遇 。校友加入本会成为会员，无须缴纳会费。本会竭诚欢迎所有北美校友主动与我们联系，协助本会扩大联络网，并积极参与本会各项活动及会务。我们会将您的联络地址及资料存入本会资料库，以便日后寄上活动消息及通讯。校友也可通过本网站直接注册。
本会理事会设会长一人，代表本会对外协调与联络。另设付会长及理事若干人，以协助处理会务及举办各项活动。会长, 付会长及理事任期2年，经由校友会全体大会选举由热心校友们轮流担任，提供服务。
